Two years ago this September I was diagnosed with late-stage ovarian cancer at the age of 36. During my treatment I have been fortunate to be a part of an awesome Young Adult Oncology Group (also yay for 36 still being considered “young”!). This program was supported by the Ulman Foundation, and now that I am healthy enough I look forward to returning that support by running from Baltimore to Key West in October to raise funds for this great organization.

Please support my goal to raise $4500 and also spread awareness of ovarian cancer in young adults. I look forward to sharing this goal with all of you!

Each year more than 72,000 young adults are diagnosed with cancer in the United States. Young adults (ages 15-39) face a variety of unique challenges with a cancer diagnosis including social isolation, fertility preservation, insurance concerns, delayed diagnosis, and survivorship.

The Ulman Foundation changes lives by creating a community of support for young adults, and their loved ones, impacted by cancer. With your support, Ulman is able to provide free services and resources for the young adult cancer community through programs that focus on patient support services, housing, survivorship, and scholarship.
