I don't believe in coincidences. I do believe that my journey through this life has put those people I've come into contact with purposely. I know now that my experiences, both good and bad, happened because they were meant to. I began my adventure with the Ulman Cancer Fund in 2010, yet I didn't fully understanding how deeply connected I would become to the organization and the people it touched.
After my sister's cancer diagnosis in 2015 my desire to dive into the UCF mission grew. In April of 2016 we embarked on a cycling adventure from UCF headquarters in Baltimore, Maryland to Key West, Florida. Raising money and awareness, delivering love and hope to those affected by cancer, and creating connections and memories with amazing people are gifts I could not have received had I not crossed paths with UCF so many years prior.
Together we have celebrated the lives of young adults touched by a cancer diagnosis. There have been tears of joy and sadness along the way, but with the support of every person in the cancer community we remain diligent in our fight against this disease.
Please help me support Ulman Foundation by making a contribution to my fundraiser and sharing this page with your family and friends. Every dollar I raise will advance Ulman Foundation's great cause! Additionally, you can ask me how you can get involved too.
Together, we can make a difference!
Each year more than 72,000 young adults are diagnosed with cancer in the United States. Young adults (ages 15-39) face a variety of unique challenges with a cancer diagnosis including social isolation, fertility preservation, insurance concerns, delayed diagnosis, and survivorship.
The Ulman Foundation changes lives by creating a community of support for young adults, and their loved ones, impacted by cancer. With your support, Ulman is able to provide free services and resources for the young adult cancer community through programs that focus on patient support services, housing, survivorship, and scholarship.
