Thanks for visiting my page! I'm thrilled to support the Ulman Foundation. Join me and donate what you can to help their mission to support young adults impacted by cancer!
My name is Danielle Berman and I am thrilled to join the Ulman Foundation to fight for the 72,000 young adults diagnosed with cancer every year as a 2019 GameChanger!
I have dedicated my career to helping others and am passionate about educating athletes and nonprofits on the best ways to work together to create social impact.
I founded my own consulting firm, DB Consulting, to put my knowledge and experience to good use guiding professional athletes and organizations who want to make an impact in the community.
GameChangers directly make a positive impact on the young adult cancer community while simultaneously making strides in their professional development. As a member of this cohort, I am participating in a personalized curriculum focused on furthering my success in my career and as a dedicated community citizen.
Ulman Foundation is a Baltimore-based nonprofit whose mission is a simple, yet impactful one: “We change lives by creating a community of support for young adults, and their loved ones, impacted by cancer.” Funds raised go directly back to supporting their mission by providing the best community for these young adults. Being a part of the Baltimore community myself, I feel particularly connected to their mission. Their Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) Patient Navigators address topics that all patients should be aware of while undergoing treatment. Ulman also offers free housing for patients and caregivers via the new Ulman House and awards over 30 scholarships each year to young adults impacted by cancer, among other programs.
Cancer has unfortunately affected me and my family personally, as I’m sure it has affected many around the world. I have close relatives in remission, and an uncle who unfortunately lost his fight. But to be in the start of your adult life and be diagnosed with this disease is a whole new challenge, and one that I believe can get lost in the focus on young children and older adults.
I am honored to bring much needed resources and awareness to those battling cancer when the rest of their lives should be just beginning.
Programs like GameChangers and the generosity of donors like you make all this support possible. Please help me support this amazing cause and furthering Ulman’s mission today!
