Ulman Foundation - LA Marathon 2020

Samantha Powell
Hi friends! This March I'll be turning 30 and decided there's no better way to celebrate than to run 26.2 miles!
I was fortunate to start my training in LA running my weekday workouts around the neighborhoods and long runs in Santa Monica, Venice and along the beaches I was lucky to call my home for a bit. Now with a simple twist of fate, I'm finishing my training in San Francisco with the Golden Gate Bridge as my backdrop as I explore my new city.
I'm grateful for the ability to keep training during many transitions and am excited to be sharing this adventure with you all and continuing to spread the Ulman Foundation's mission.
I was connected to Ulman many years ago and it was the strong, supportive community that helped me begin to navigate my own survivorship. It's been a continuous journey of practicing gratitude, celebrating small victories and defining (and redefining) my life as a cancer survivor that I know wouldn't be the same if I had never connected with the Ulman Foundation many years ago.
Please ask me questions and help me support Ulman Foundation by making a contribution to my fundraiser and sharing this page with your family and friends. Every dollar I raise will advance Ulman Foundation's mission.
Many thanks!

Each year more than 72,000 young adults are diagnosed with cancer in the United States. Young adults (ages 15-39) face a variety of unique challenges with a cancer diagnosis including social isolation, fertility preservation, insurance concerns, delayed diagnosis, and survivorship.
The Ulman Foundation changes lives by creating a community of support for young adults, and their loved ones, impacted by cancer. With your support, Ulman is able to provide free services and resources for the young adult cancer community through programs that focus on patient support services, housing, survivorship, and scholarship. Learn more about young adult cancer and our impact here.
