Because I Get to Leave a Legacy

While 2020 has not been a typical year, the uncertainty, concept of trusting the process, and need for support has not shifted for young adults who are navigating a journey that involves a cancer diagnosis.

That said, throughout this holiday season I will be supporting the organization that reinvigorated what it means to be truly passionate about something. In this case my initial experience with passion was witnessing my Mom fight Stage 4 Cancer while working a full time job and co-founding an organization (METAvivors). Her dedication and the legacy she left that I have had the privilege of hearing others talk about is my WHY day in and day out. But since volunteering with the Ulman Foundation my WHY has evolved to be so much more, and includes an endless list of individuals who are still fighting, in remission, cured, or no longer with us.

Thank you so much for supporting this amazing organization and all that they do to make sure young adults have housing to be treated here in MD, resources to be educated on their fertility options, and most importantly be connected to individuals who just get it because no one should have to fight cancer alone.
ULMAN FOUNDATION

Each year more than 72,000 young adults are diagnosed with cancer in the United States. Young adults (ages 15-39) face a variety of unique challenges with a cancer diagnosis including social isolation, fertility preservation, insurance concerns, delayed diagnosis, and survivorship.

The Ulman Foundation changes lives by creating a community of support for young adults, and their loved ones, impacted by cancer. With your support, Ulman is able to provide free services and resources for the young adult cancer community through programs that focus on patient support services, housing, survivorship, and scholarship. Learn more about young adult cancer and our impact here.
