Annie’s Route 66 Marathon Fundraising Page

Annie Doyle

As many of you know, my dad passed away July 15, 2019 from his long battle with prostate cancer. I have decided to run my first marathon on his birthday, November 22nd at the Route 66 Marathon. Running a marathon takes more than physical stamina, it takes mental grit and determination, just like my dad had.

Please help me support Ulman Foundation by making a contribution to my fundraiser and sharing this page with your family and friends. Every dollar I raise will advance Ulman Foundation's ability to help young adults impacted by cancer in ways such as:

1. Provide scholarships to those wishing to obtain a college education
2. Young adults with cancer who wish to preserve their fertility so one day they may have a family
3. Provide free housing to those receiving treatment at specific hospitals
4. Provide financial assistance for medical bills
5. Provide resources to support the mental wellbeing of young adults impacted by cancer.

Additionally, you can ask me how you can get involved too.
Together, we can make a difference!

*In the event this Marathon is cancelled due to COVID-19, I will still be running a marathon on this day*

Each year more than 72,000 young adults are diagnosed with cancer in the United States. Young adults (ages 15-39) face a variety of unique challenges with a cancer diagnosis including social isolation, fertility preservation, insurance concerns, delayed diagnosis, and survivorship.

The Ulman Foundation changes lives by creating a community of support for young adults, and their loved ones, impacted by cancer. With your support, Ulman is able to provide free services and resources for the young adult cancer community through programs that focus on patient support services, housing, survivorship, and scholarship. Learn more about young adult cancer and our impact here.

Thank you also to Bill, my awesome husband, for riding his bike on my long runs to carry extra snacks and water for hot days. 😂 You are the absolute best!

13.1 miles in the books! Officially 10 weeks out from Route66 and feeling good! Thank you all for supporting my efforts to raise money for the ulman foundation!
