Hi hi welcome to my page! My name is Sydney Beason! I am from Winston-Salem, North Carolina and I am a student at Furman University. I am thrilled to be a part of the Ulman 4K for Cancer team. I will be running from Baltimore, MD to San Francisco, CA and would love your support! My passion for helping raise money for young adults battling cancer is driven by my own diagnoses when I was 17 years old. I am happy to be cancer free today and strive to find ways to not only spread awareness for Thyroid Cancer but also to give back to the cancer community. Medical advancements are happening all of the time and we should strive to be positive, stay hopeful, and keep fighting but in the meantime we must continue to support and help those battling every single day. Exercise and running have always been at the core of my lifestyle and I am so excited to take on this new challenge.
Please help me support Ulman Foundation by making a contribution to my fundraiser and sharing this page with your family and friends. Every dollar I raise will advance Ulman Foundation's great cause! Together, we can make a difference!
Each year more than 72,000 young adults are diagnosed with cancer in the United States. Young adults (ages 15-39) face a variety of unique challenges with a cancer diagnosis including social isolation, fertility preservation, insurance concerns, delayed diagnosis, and survivorship.
The Ulman Foundation changes lives by creating a community of support for young adults, and their loved ones, impacted by cancer. With your support, Ulman is able to provide free services and resources for the young adult cancer community through programs that focus on patient support services, housing, survivorship, and scholarship.
