Next summer I will be biking across the country with a group of young adults with one common goal in mind...to fight cancer! 4K for Cancer is a program of Ulman Foundation, a non-profit empowering young adults in the fight against cancer. Cancer has affected my life in more ways then one. When I was 9 I was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor. I am now 12 years cancer free! Through cancer I have met so many friends going through the same thing. My mom has also been fighting recurrent ovarian cancer on and off for about 6 years now and has never given up. I admire her and the other people I have met over the years, including the ones who I have lost, so much. I am doing this ride for them. I can’t think of any better way to spend my summer than by advocating and raising awareness for this disease!
Please help me support Ulman Foundation by making a contribution to my fundraiser and sharing this page with your family and friends. Every dollar I raise will advance Ulman Foundation's great cause! Additionally, you can ask me how you can get involved too.
Together, we can make a difference!
Each year more than 72,000 young adults are diagnosed with cancer in the United States. Young adults (ages 15-39) face a variety of unique challenges with a cancer diagnosis including social isolation, fertility preservation, insurance concerns, delayed diagnosis, and survivorship.
The Ulman Foundation changes lives by creating a community of support for young adults, and their loved ones, impacted by cancer. With your support, Ulman is able to provide free services and resources for the young adult cancer community through programs that focus on patient support services, housing, survivorship, and scholarship.
