1. What is your connection to the cancer community? 2. Why are you traveling 4,000 miles this summer with 4K for Cancer?
Each day so many people are fighting their battle with cancer. This past January, my mom lost a short battle to lung cancer. Seeing the effects of what cancer does to a person and their loved ones, both physically and mentally, is something I hope no one experiences. Unfortunately, it does happen and that is why I am joining Ulman’s 4K for Cancer next summer. They are an organization working to spread awareness and provide support for people across the country. My mother was a resilient person who lived each day full of grace and grit. She was compassionate, yet strong, in all areas of her life. Running across the country will be both physically and mentally challenging but to be able to do this for the ones who cannot, is all the motivation needed. For me, being apart of an organization that serves a higher purpose and connects with people globally, hearing their stories, is a way to honor my mother. Throughout our 49 day journey, we will dedicate each day to someone and participate in service events along the way in hopes to foster a community of strength for those who have been impacted.
If you could help me support Ulman Foundation by making a contribution to my fundraiser and sharing this page with your family and friends, I would greatly appreciate it. Every dollar I raise will advance Ulman Foundation's great cause! Additionally, you can ask me how you can get involved too.
Together, we can make a difference!
