Please help me support Ulman Foundation by making a contribution to my fundraiser and sharing this page with your family and friends. Every dollar I raise will advance Ulman Foundation's great cause! Additionally, you can ask me how you can get involved too.
Together, we can make a difference!

Hi everyone! Welcome to my fundraising page! Inspired by Louisa, next summer I will be following in her footsteps and riding across the country, raising money for the Ulman Foundation! The Ulman Foundation uniquely helps young adults who are diagnosed with cancer and works to provide them with support, resources and community throughout.

My primary experiences with cancer are losing my aunt, Tante Karin and my Dad to cancer. These experiences have driven me to try and make a positive difference in others' lives. Cancer does not discriminate and creates terrible holes in people's lives. Through 4K, I am riding to try and make sure that when a young adult is battling cancer, they do not feel alone. I am riding so that young adults diagnosed with cancer know that we care about and support them.

The Ulman Foundation donations go toward helping cancer patients with a place to live during treatment, scholarships to go back to or continue school, fertility preservation, cancer to 5k programs, and ultimately to provide young adults with a cancer a community where they belong and feel heard. In the past, I have raised money for another amazing organization called Pelotonia. This organization focuses more directly on creating and finding cures for cancer, a cause I also strongly believe in. Pelotonia has given me many opportunities to contribute meaningfully to cancer research, happening right in Columbus at the James! It is amazing that these funds are already helping patient outcomes! Pelotonia has shown me how powerful we are as a team and was my very first time riding a road bike! This coming summer I am riding with 4K because I believe the 4K team also creates powerful change in the lives of young adults with cancer.

This upcoming summer, I am riding for people who have had their lives touched by cancer. I am riding for people who will be touched by cancer in the future. I am riding for my Oma and Opa who have had two children pass away from cancer. I am riding to meet other people who see an incredible challenge and want to be part of the solution. I am riding to learn as much as I possibly can about cancer and the support network cancer patients have or lack in this country. I am riding so that no one ever has to see their 8 year old sister break down in tears at her father's memorial service. I am riding because my mom and my dad deserved to grow old together and it breaks my heart that cancer robbed them of this.

I am riding for every single person who has had their heart broken from cancer and every person who has had their heart broken and had to attempt to stitch it together again. I am riding because I want to be an oncologist when I grow up and I want to know what deficits we have in treatments and diagnosing. I want to know the pain we put patients and their families through. I want to be better for them. I am riding so that I can serve my future patients with the world class treatment they deserve. Thank you so much for reading my page! Thank you for being a supportive person in my life! Thank you so very much. Cancer has been a terrible, powerful force in my life. But, it has also planted deep seeds of motivation and passion. I am determined to harness my pain for positive change. Thank you for your support. It means the world.

Each year more than 72,000 young adults are diagnosed with cancer in the United States. Young adults (ages 15-39) face a variety of unique challenges with a cancer diagnosis including social isolation, fertility preservation, insurance concerns, delayed diagnosis, and survivorship.

The Ulman Foundation changes lives by creating a community of support for young adults, and their loved ones, impacted by cancer. With your support, Ulman is able to provide free services and resources for the young adult cancer community through programs that focus on patient support services, housing, survivorship, and scholarship.
