Thanks for visiting my page!
In the Summer of 2020 I will be running relay-style across the country with the Ulman Foundation’s 4k for Cancer! Over these 4000+ miles, I, along with a group of fellow runners, will be helping to spread awareness and to create a community of support for young adults and loved ones impacted by cancer.
I found out about this organization in college and this year decided that it was time to do something different with my summer and use something that I am passionate about, running, to contribute to a great cause. Unfortunately, like many, cancer has always been in my life. My mom is an oncology nurse, family members have fought against it, and more recently, two close friends were diagnosed with cancer. Both friends are now survivors, but while they were fighting, I asked myself “What could I do?” In the moment, all I could do was make sure they knew that I was there for them. Joining the Ulman 4k is what I can do now to raise awareness and provide support for this community.
Please help me support the Ulman Foundation by contributing to my fundraiser and sharing this page with your family and friends. Every dollar I raise will advance Ulman Foundation's great cause! Additionally, you can ask me how you can get involved too. Together, we can make a difference!
Each year more than 72,000 young adults are diagnosed with cancer in the United States. Young adults (ages 15-39) face a variety of unique challenges with a cancer diagnosis including social isolation, fertility preservation, insurance concerns, delayed diagnosis, and survivorship.
The Ulman Foundation changes lives by creating a community of support for young adults, and their loved ones, impacted by cancer. With your support, Ulman is able to provide free services and resources for the young adult cancer community through programs that focus on patient support services, housing, survivorship, and scholarship.
